How do I register for a class?
To register for a class, browse the "Class Descriptions” menu on our website. Click on the Title of the class you want to attend or the Name and Date of the class. This will take you to our online payment system. Click on “Sign Up or Enroll.” It's that easy!
What is the waitlist?
If a class is in waitlist status, you can add your name to the waiting list. You do not need to submit any payment information until a spot becomes available. If an opening becomes available, you will be contacted first by phone and if necessary by email. Please complete both day and evening phone numbers. If you provide payment information when joining a wait list, you will only be charged if you are moved into the class and you are still interested in attending.
What is your cancellation policy for classes?
You may cancel your enrollment in a class up to 48 hours in advance of the class starting time and will receive a full refund. You must cancel an enrollment from within your account under My Schedule. No refund or exchanges will be given on enrollment if it is cancelled less than 48 hours prior to the class. If you have questions, email cookingclassesaz@gmail.com or use our contact form with the link above.
Cooking Classes A-Z reserves the right to cancel any class that fails to attract sufficient enrollment, or because of chef illness. Under these circumstances we will contact you by email or telephone and issued a full refund.
For group reservations or private classes, five business days must be provided in order to receive a full refund.
Please be advised that we are closed on major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
What is the difference between a demonstration class and a hands-on class?
Demonstrations are observation classes which last about an hour. Each student gets to taste the food prepared by the chef. Students watch as the chef explains the recipe preparation and cooking techniques. Demonstrations are limited to 20 people.
Hands-on classes are full participation sessions that can last from 2 to 3 hours ending with a meal of the food prepared in the class. Each class begins with a review of the recipe, a copy of which will be given to you. The Chef helps prepare the recipe and shows cooking techniques for you to practice at your stations. Hands-on classes are generally limited to either 12 or 16 people.
Can a class be tailored to my interests?
Yes. If you would like to learn to cook a specific dish or have a private cooking school event simply call us at 520-398-9497 or email cookingclassesaz@gmail.com to discuss details. Customized classes require a minimum of 8 people to schedule.
Do you have gift certificates?
Gift Cards are available in any amount both online as well as in our Tumacookery store. The online gift cards are under the Tab "online products" on the website when you enroll online. To purchase by phone, call 398-9497, or visit us in our Tumacookery store.

When you Sign Up online, you will be asked to create an account and choose a password. We ask that you do this so that we can provide a higher level of service and security for this and future transactions. You only need to enter this information once. As a bonus, creating an account will allow you to review a list of your prior attendance. Account holders can edit contact information by clicking on the 'My Account' section of the Web site. Items marked with an asterisk (*) are required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, please contact us. (This account system also allows you, the to view your purchases over a period of time for your own annual reporting.)
Will there be beverages?
Classes will include complimentary water. Wine, coffee and other beverages will be provided for some classes. See individual Class Descriptions for more information.
What should I wear?
We ask that you wear comfortable, casual clothing and flat comfortable shoes. Open-toed shoes or sandals are discouraged. We recommend that you bring something to clip or tie back your hair, if you have long hair.
What if I have food allergies?
Please notify us if you have food allergies so we can discuss the ingredients with you.
Is there handicapped accessible seating?
The classroom is accessible, but counter and table heights are 36". Seating is first come, first serve. If you would like to be in certain spot please arrive a few minutes early to secure your seating.

We are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage to students or their property, due to any act, neglect or omission by Cooking A-Z, Tumacookery, its agents or employees.
What is your privacy policy?
Our client’s contact information will only be used by the Managers and occasionally the employees of Tumacookery and Cooking A-Z. We authorize our employees to use your information only when they need it to communicate with you regarding our Cooking Classes and Workshops. Third parties such as the online payment system are required to protect your information. No other third parties have access to the information you give us.
